Debit card usage is skyrocketing everywhere.

Also known as check or ATM cards, debit cards are now one of the fastest-growing payment types at the point-of-sale.  Consumers who do not prefer to carry cash have created the growing demand for PIN-based check/debit cards that directly access their bank accounts.

Profit from the Power of Debit Card Acceptance!

While customers enjoy the convenience, more merchants are discovering the potential transaction savings over alternative payment methods.  Flexibility, security, and simplicity are crucial in payment processing.  The PIN is in--debit cards are taking the explosive lead in preference.  Now you can profit from the power of ATM/Debit card acceptance.  We can provide all the hardware, software, and support you need to make PIN debit acceptance successful at your location.

Give your customers the ability to use debit cards, and you gain these benefits:
  • Compared to cash, debit purchases lead to higher average tickets and impulse buying
  • Real-time authorization or denial within seconds
  • Faster checkout time--customer signatures not required
  • Works seamlessly alongside other terminal applications
  • Accept credit and debit/ATM/check cards
  • Provide cash back on purchases
  • Earn additional revenues through ATM style transactions
  • Less risk than accepting credit cards or paper checks
  • Significant fraud reduction since a cardholder's secret PIN replaces a signature
  • Virtually eliminates costly customer chargebacks
  • Flat, low-cost fee structure through major debit networks
  • Enormous savings possibilities--less expensive than credit card percentage rates

Visa survey: Debt-conscious consumers seek better ways to watch spending:

DURING THE FIRST SIX months of 2002, there were 3.04 billion Visa debit card transactions compared to 2.96 billion credit card transactions.  Credit card transactions still have a higher combined dollar value as they tend to be used to purchase bigger ticket items.

Visa debit cards are issued by banks and allow consumers to pay for products by directly deducting money from their checking accounts as opposed to credit cards which loan money on interest.

Visa said that 60 percent of those surveyed used check cards so they could carry less cash, and 70 percent said using a debit card gave them a better sense of where they spend their money.

Why should you accept debit/check cards properly?

In one word… SAVINGS!  There is a difference between credit and debit card acceptance, and it can add up quickly!

FACT: About 30-40% of credit cards used today to pay for products/services are now debit/check cards. This trend can result in significant savings in monthly processing rates and fees!

When accepting a credit card, merchants pay a percentage of the transaction amount--the larger the sale amount, the larger the amount charged to the merchant.

When accepting online debit/check cards (where customer enters their PIN in a Pin Pad), the issuing debit network charges a fee ($.50 or less, depending upon the network) . . . look at the sample savings!
